Among the many gorgeous beaches in southern Kefalonia, you’ll find Kaminia beach with warm and shallow waters.
Near the town of Ratzakli, Kaminia Beach can be seen from the Skala-Ratzakli road and is easily accessible.
Kaminia was named from the area’s many furnaces (which were used to make tiles using a type of clay).
The loggerhead sea turtles visit the beach to lay their eggs in the sand after travelling huge distances.
