Napier Garden

Just five minutes from Vallianou square, Napier Garden is a haven in the heart of Argostoli. Named after Charles James Napier, who served as governor of Kefalonia from 1822 to 1830 under the British rule and was a strong supporter of the Greek people. Napier initially created and built the park for his children’s amusement.

If you’re looking for a place to relax and take a rest, visit Napier Garden for a walk among cobblestone paths and magnificent pavilion. A monument, designed by Kefalonian artist G. Bonanos and devoted to the war victims from 1912-1922, can be seen within the Garden.
