Rifi is a small rural village in the northeastern part of Kefalonia. It has about 60 permanent residents whose major source of income is agriculture and livestock.
Several traditional Kefalonian houses survived the 1953 earthquake and can be easily distinguished among the more modern houses of the village.
The famous Kefalonian artist Panagis Gavrielatos (1915-2011) was born in Rifi village. You may see some of his great paintings in the museum at Rifi.
