In the center of the Agia Efimia village, you may gaze upon the remains of an Ancient Roman villa along with Roman period mosaics. It is located on the road above the waterfront just after the diving center.
The Roman Villa was unearthed during an excavation in 2000 and it is considered quite an important archeological finding. Experts discovered and repaired mosaics with geometric designs found in the villa’s courtyard.
The discovery of tile-covered burials during the excavation suggests that the area was abandoned in the Late Roman era and served as a burial site.
