Atheras

Atheras is a small but traditional mountain village with about 200 inhabitants. Located high in the western corner of the Paliki Kefalonia peninsula, this remote beautiful village is surrounded by agricultural land, which greatly supports the village’s economy.

You will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from the top of the village. Atheras had to be rebuilt after the 1953 earthquake and the houses feature many colorful gardens. A villager has made a flowerpot out of an old WW2 wreck.
